A self-confessed paedophile collected and distributed vile images of child sexual abuse.
Michael Williams, also known as McNeil, also sent messages to other like-minded perverts saying "I wish I was born in a country where it's ok to be a paedophile" and "I like we are both paedophiles". A court heard that, in total, the 57-year-old amassed more than 600 sick photos and videos of kids between the ages of five and seven.
Of those, he distributed 107 to other users on Sykpe. Williams, of Lansdowne Gardens, in Jesmond, was caught when police searched his home and seized four of his electronic devices.

The pervert has now avoided a stint behind bars after he pleaded guilty to three counts of making an indecent image of a child and one of distributing them at Newcastle Crown Court. Instead, he was given a three-year community order and made subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.
Sentencing him, Judge Christopher Prince said: "You had the good sense to plead guilty to all these offences at the first opportunity. You have not sought to deny what you have done and you have admitted what you have done and you have been full and frank in your discussions.
"You have also done what you can to address your problem since your arrest. I have no sympathy for you whatsoever. I have heard about your background and alcoholism but there are plenty of people with your background and plenty of people who are suffering from alcoholism who don't behave in the way you have."
The court heard that Williams downloaded his vile material between September 2014 and June 2020 and distributed it between March 2016 and June 2020. John Hobley, prosecuting, said police searched Williams's home in June 2020 and seized four electronic devices
Mr Hobley continued: "The devices seized were an external hard drive, a USB stick and two laptops. All contained unlawful files. There were 83 category A images, 88 category B and 458 category C. Of the category B, three were moving images."
The court heard that Williams had distributed 107 category C images to other users on Skype.
Mark Harrison, defending, said Williams was a "complex" man who had, since his arrest, sought help with the Lucy Faithful Foundation and for his problem with alcohol.
As well as the community order, Williams must also sign the Sex Offenders' Register for five years.
